We have established a holistic and structured occupational health management system at TDK-Micronas for all our employees. The aim is to promote and maintain the health of our employees. For us, the health of each individual is more than just physical fitness; it also includes mental well-being.

Our health promotion activities range from A, such as the apple in the fruit bag provided, to Z, such as the satisfaction gained by enabling partial retirement. An important aspect of maintaining mental health is social contact. Here, too, we offer various opportunities: Perhaps you will meet  - for example at a photo exhibition on the theme of spring organized by us  - interesting interlocutors and get to know your colleagues from a different side  - or you find while looking at the photos simply the time and peace, for which they have longed in the sometimes seemingly hectic everyday working life.

JobRad GmbH is based in Freiburg and is a company that offers company bike leasing throughout Germany. How does JobRad leasing work?

We, TDK-Micronas, lease a bicycle of your choice for you and we leave it to you. You decide on the brand and which model you want to ride. You can use your desired bike for work, but also for private purposes. Since company bicycles are tax-subsidized, it is worth taking a look at the possibilities. Normally, we agree on a single leasing contract with a term of 36 months. In Freiburg and the surrounding area, there are several bicycle dealers that you can visit to find out about JobRad offers and to choose your desired service bike. With a leased bicycle you not only keep fit, but together we make an important contribution to climate and environmental protection.

Hansefit is a company fitness provider that offers a wide variety of sporting activities for all members nationwide. These include swimming pools, fitness studios, thermal baths and climbing gyms. The selection of participating studios and online fitness courses can be found on the Hansefit website at https://hansefit.de.

Preventive health care and maintaining good health contribute to greater life satisfaction, so TDK-Micronas has been covering a portion of membership fees since 2018. Currently, the fee is 33,00 Euro plus the small social security contribution for the imputed income that is withheld from your salary. The registration fee is a one-time fee of 59,50 Euro.

In 2001, the collective bargaining parties IG Metall and Gesamtmetall established a company and private pension scheme to help employees shape their own future and provide for their individual needs. The aim of the metalworking pension scheme is to provide employees with optimum, individual cover in the event of occupational disability or incapacity to work, as well as for surviving dependents in the event of death. Companies are free to choose products from the range of benefits offered in order to find a suitable offer for all employees. The private pension plan is tax-subsidized and can be taken out additionally if required.

TDK-Micronas has opted for two different product offerings. Employees are free to choose between an Eichel subsidy (gross deferred compensation) or a Riester subsidy (net deferred compensation).

Employees who travel to work by public transport can receive a company subsidy from TDK-Micronas for the Regio annual travel pass. Within 12 months, the amount of the subsidy is 72 Euro. Please note that the subsidy is only granted once by TDK-Micronas and that you can choose between a subsidy for the Regio card or a leased bicycle via JobRad.

We will be very happy to pre-finance the annual amount for you. The Regio annual card amount, minus the subsidy, will be deducted from your wage/salary account in 1/12 installments on a pro rata basis from the 1st month of the Regio card's validity.

You can submit the application to the Works Council by means of a form. The form must be submitted no later than the 15th of the previous month.
