
Embedded Motor Controllers for Smart Actuators
Introduction
The Micronas high-voltage controller family is designed as an embedded controller family for smart actuators ranging from 5 W to 500 W. The HVC family features advanced integration for compact and cost-effective system designs for use in automotive applications and beyond (industrial, consumer, instrumentation, etc.).
HVC motor controllers integrate almost all the circuits needed for driving electric motors, reducing the number of external components to a minimum. The product’s flexible peripherals allow direct control of brushless, brushed DC, and stepper motors by means of three fully integrated half-bridges.
The built-in networking capabilities enable the development of LIN bus-compliant remote smart actuators. Thanks to this flexibility, the HVC controllers provide an effective system solution for both small and medium-sized electric motors, enabling a common product platform. This gives our customers a decisive competitive edge, as they can implement solutions much faster and require fewer resources during the development process for their various applications.
