EMC Engineer (m/f/d)

Your assignment:

  • Conducting internal EMC tests: You perform EMC tests in compliance with international and automotive-specific standards, ensuring precision and reliability.
  • Error and root cause analysis for customer inquiries: You analyze EMC issues reported by customers and provide well-founded, practical solutions.
  • Development of reference boards: You design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) from schematic to layout, serving both internal measurements and customer application references.
  • Documentation and reporting: You meticulously document test results, create comprehensive reports, and develop technical guidelines for customer support.
  • Coordination of external EMC tests: You plan, coordinate, and oversee EMC measurements conducted in external test laboratories.
  • Maintenance of the EMC infrastructure: You take responsibility for maintaining, servicing, and calibrating EMC test systems and facilities, including both hardware and software.
  • Monitoring of standards: You stay updated on the latest international standards and norms in the EMC field, ensuring compliance and innovation.
  • Requirements analysis: You evaluate customer EMC requirements and translate them into precise internal technical specifications and actionable requirements. 

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed a master's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on high-frequency technology, communications engineering, or a comparable qualification. 
  • You have relevant professional experience in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with the development and evaluation of EMC and ESD tests at module and IC level according to ISO and IEC standards. 
  • You have experience in direct communication and professional support of customers with technical inquiries. •
  • You are characterized by team orientation and work effectively with internal departments as well as external test laboratories. 
  • You have business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, as well as a moderate willingness to travel.

  • Desirable Qualification
  • You have experience with electronic CAD tools such as Altium Designer.
  • You have programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or C environments.
  • You are familiar with electromagnetic simulation techniques as well as their setup and analysis.
  • Experience with solving EMC and ESD problems at IC level.
