OSAT Manager / Final Test Expert (m/w/d)

Your assignment:

  • You will collaborate closely with the Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to ensure and continuously improve ongoing production at our OSAT partners in the area of Final Test.
  • You will take responsibility for the technical support of Final Test processes at OSATs and assist in analyzing yield losses, test failures, retests, and production deviations.
  • You will coordinate the implementation and follow-up of improvement measures at our OSAT partners, ensuring compliance with agreed quality, delivery, and performance targets.
  • You will manage complaints and 8D processes in the Final Test area at OSATs, including immediate actions, root cause analysis, definition of corrective actions, and effectiveness checks.
  • You will contribute to identifying root causes between Assembly, Finishing, Final Test, and Product, supporting the sustainable prevention of recurring errors.
  • You will evaluate changes to test processes, test equipment, and production workflows, and provide support during technical escalations as well as capacity and ramp-up challenges.
  • You will support the NPI team with your Final Test expertise by assessing test equipment, process flow, capacity, investment needs, and ongoing costs.
  • You will leverage your experience from series production in new product projects to identify technical risks early and minimize overall costs for Assembly and Final Test.
  • You will work with departments and OSATs to optimize test time, test coverage, retests, scrap, and production costs.
  • You will contribute to the further development of collaboration with OSATs by bringing in best practices and lessons learned to the team.

Your Profile:

  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microsystems Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • You possess 5 years of proven professional experience in the area of Final Test, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing or in managing OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) partners.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of semiconductor backend processes and a strong understanding of the interfaces between Assembly, Final Test, and Finishing.
  • You have experience working with Final Test equipment, such as ATE systems, testers, handlers, load boards, sockets, or contactors.
  • You have a solid understanding of yield analysis, test time optimization, process stability, and test cost management.
  • You have demonstrable experience in structured complaint handling and 8D processes, as well as in common root cause analysis methods.
  • You have experience in the technical support and further development of production processes with international suppliers or manufacturing partners.
  • You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented, and you have a confident demeanor when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are willing to travel internationally to support our OSAT partners.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile; German language skills are an advantage.
